Live Shows
Come to a live recording of The Guilty Feminist podcast…
Guilty Feminist at the Edinburgh Fringe
Join comedian Deborah Frances-White and guests for stand-up and conversation in a special episode of The Guilty Feminist, part of our Road to Gilead Project. The Handmaid’s Tale flashbacks look like scenes in the USA today. The far right across the world is organised, connected and well funded, and has been gaining ground in the UK, looking to strip back our rights. We can make a U-turn on this road, but we need to start now! Join the joyful resistance today.
20 August: Hannah Spencer MP
21 August: Linus Karp
22 August: Palestinian Circus
23 August: tbc
DreamDate at the Edinburgh Fringe
DreamDate, the classic improvised romantic comedy show devised by Deborah Frances-White has not been seen on stage for many years. But now it’s back for one night only. Two strangers who have never met before have their lives turned into a full romantic comedy by our team of improvisers. Full cast to be announced.
This will be a special stripped-back version of the hit Fringe show, reimagined for Shedinburgh.
Guilty Feminist live in Newcastle
Join The Guilty Feminist and their bold new initiative, The Road to Gilead Project, for a live show that blends humour with radical hope.
Since 2016, The Guilty Feminist podcast has racked up over 180 million downloads by examining the noble goals of 21st century feminism and the hypocrisies and insecurities that undermine them. It’s the show that proves you don’t have to be perfect to be a force for meaningful change. The Road to Gilead Project aims to ignite connection and action that will bring about hope and resistance against the far right.
Gilead is a pop culture shorthand from Margaret Atwood’s dystopian Handmaid’s Tale vision that we now see rising in the west. We welcome the questioning and the committed alike to come together in honest conversation about how we might form real coalitions for change and how we resist the slide towards oppression and power abuse with courage, creativity and collective joy. Expect big laughs, bold ideas and a room full of people who believe a better world is possible, even if we sometimes feel like we’re winging it. Come join host Deborah Frances-White and her fellow comedians, activists and guests to be part of this joyful, defiant movement.
